Topshop, 'Infrared' Lipstick

Topshop Infrared Lipstick 6 Topshop Infrared Lipstick 3 Topshop Infrared Lipstick 5 Topshop Infrared Lipstick 4 Topshop Infrared Lipstick 2 Topshop Infrared Lipstick Swatch
(Topshop, 'Infrared' Lipstick: £8-ish)

I've been lusting over an Orange lipstick for ages now but was not too sure whether they would suit me so opted for one that would be good quality but not too expensive, hence this Topshop purchase. I've heard so much about MAC's, 'Morange' lipstick but that is double the price and for something that I wasn't entirely sure about, I thought this lipstick would be a better alternative as it's pretty much an exact dupe for it. This is also my first Topshop lipstick and I've really been wanting to try one out as they seem to have good reviews. This lipstick is not on the Topshop website, although I always see it in store so they must be still stocking it.
'Infrared' is a bright orange with slight red tones to it. It seems like quite a scary colour to wear but actually I think it's really wearable even for day time. Probably even easier than a Red in my opinion. I thought this colour would be a perfect essential for my summer make-up kit as you can just throw this on and it gives your face that, bright, summery look. I love bright lipsticks any time of the day or season, so this lipstick will get so much love from me.
It is a velvety, moisturising finish which I definitely agree on. I wore this all day and it did not dry my lips out at all or make them really flaky. The lasting power is good, but not fantastic. I think the MAC lipsticks are better in that respect, although I do think the staying power is good for a moderately priced lippy. The texture of the lipstick is super creamy, it glides on effortlessly and I applied straight from the bullet with no struggle.
Overall I am really loving this lipstick at the moment. I think this lipstick would look great on tanned or darker toned skins, but it can pretty much suit anyone to be honest. This has made me want to buy even more Topshop lipsticks now, 'Ohh La La' is the next on my make-up shopping list agenda.

Stone Florals

(Dress: Prodigy Red*/ Loafers: Topshop/ Necklace: Topshop/ Jumper: Primark)

I'd just like to start by stating the obvious in that I haven't blogged for nearly a month! I've desperately wanted to, but I've had exams the last few weeks and any free time I've had has been spent on revision. Now with them done, I can focus more on what I want to be doing, and that's blogging! I've had so many ideas for posts and I'm so glad I can finally get to it!
I was kindly sent this dress from fashion company, Prodigy Red. I'd never heard of the fashion line before and this dress really stood out to me as it's definitely got my style printed all over it. I was dubious as to whether this dress would even fit me, and I'm so glad that it actually fits me so well! I had to use my own belt though as the one that came with the dress was too big for me, however, they are pretty much the same anyway! I love the black floral prints which are actually have a velvety texture to them which I really like as it contrasts with the chiffon material that the rest of the dress has. As per usual, I paired this dress with a pair of loafers, this pair is from Topshop about a year ago now. I've recently tried to start wearing these more as I feel that they don't get as much love from me like some of my other brogues/loafers do and I do really like them. I was also really pleasantly surprised with how good the quality of the material of the dress is for such a cheap price at only, £15.99! If you haven't had a look at the Prodigy Red website, be sure to take a little snoop.

Asymmetric

(Crop Top: Urban Outfitters/ Skirt: Urban Outfitters/ Heels: Jeffrey Campbell)

So basically this whole outfit turned out to pretty much be Urban Outfitters haha. I absolutely love this skirt, I got it at Christmas but have only just worn it as it's not exactly the warmest piece of clothing I have! It's also such a lovely flattering shape for anyone to wear, the material is really stretchy and clings perfectly without being uncomfortable or unflattering. It's so so unbelievably comfortable to wear that I just know that when summer comes I'll be wearing this non-stop. I love the style of the skirt so much as it's different from anything I've really seen at the moment with the asymmetric design so that one side shows off some leg and the other doesn't which I think is a subtle, sexy touch.
I teamed this skirt with my glittery crop top also from Urban Outfitters (both the skirt and crop top are from the, Sparkle and Fade brand). I love this crop because it's so easy to wear in that I can put it with anything and it's great for nights out.
My beloved Jeffrey Campbell Foxy Spike's also got pulled from the top of my wardrobe that night, and I have to say, these shoes really did kill my toes that night. I don't know what it is, but these give me the worst blisters whereas my other Burgundy Jeffrey Campbell's don't. I guess it's just a case of breaking them in over time!

Pencil

asospencilskirtootd Closeup Rings Rings and Denim Jacket
(Denim Jacket: Primark/ Pencil Skirt: Asos/ T-Shirt: Primark/ Burgundy Satchel: Primark/ Rings: Primark & Miss Selfridge)

I've been meaning to get this post up for a week now, but life has pretty much taken over. I started a part-time internship on my days off from University and any time I do have off now is dedicated to revision as I have three exams coming up. Yay, not.
I wanted to include this Asos pencil skirt in an outfit post as I bought it around January but haven't worn it until now as it was quite big around my waist so had to get it altered. Is it just me that finds Asos sizing really weird?! Plus the skirt is sooo long, if I didn't roll it up at the waistband I'm pretty sure I could wear this as a bandeau dress and I'm not even that short!
Anyway! I paired this skirt with my burgundy satchel to match. I've realised that a lot of this outfit is from Primark (unintentionally). I really like wearing a graphic t-shirt with such a plain outfit as it brings the other pieces out more and I always love a good layered look. It was actually such a nice day when I wore this outfit so I didn't feel cold at all just wearing this t-shirt underneath my denim jacket which makes a change.
